The Rove brand boasts a strong track record of sustainability initiatives, a testament to its commitment to responsible hospitality and support of the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goal. All Rove Hotels have attained the prestigious Green Key certification, symbolising their dedication to sustainable practices within the hospitality industry. Furthermore, Rove Hotels proudly emerged as the group with all its hotels meeting Dubai Tourism’s stringent sustainability criteria.
To minimise environmental impact, Rove Hotels has eradicated single-use plastic bottles from rooms, restaurants, and event venues, opting instead for refillable glass bottles. The brand has also embarked on several digitalisation initiatives to slash paper consumption by 90%, replacing printed materials with those crafted from recycled paper whenever possible. Energy-efficient practices span the group and include outfitting all hotels with LED lighting, consuming 75% less energy compared to traditional bulbs, and composting 100% of food waste, among other initiatives.
Rove Hotels has become part of the Green Key Initiative, a standard of excellence for the tourism industry that aims to achieve a more sustainable and eco-friendly operation in hotels around the world. We are committed to the preservation of the environment and consider these premises essential for XXI century hospitality. To achieve this, we have developed a great number of initiatives with the purpose of improving environmental sustainability.
Rove Hotels pledges to sow one tree per every room booked during the COP28 dates – 30th November to 12th December. We are partnering with W&A Consular and with Eden Reforestation Projects in planting the trees, with the aim of achieving the milestone of at least 28,000 trees planted before the end of 2023. Known for our strong focus on sustainability, with this initiative, Rove aims to take things to the next level in support of the UAE’s efforts towards a greener event.
