We are well aware that guests, investors, and the general public expect to see a greater focus on sustainability within hotel operations. As a business entity and operator, Arabella Hospitality is committed to making business operations and hotel developments more sustainable and documenting our social and environmental efforts. We believe that we are obliged to show and live responsibility by example to all our stakeholders, but especially within the communities we work in.
On the island of Mallorca, we have been enhancing our endeavours to improve our use of resources at our hotels and golf courses and strive to be pioneers in giving back more than we take.
Climate Protection
- Use of renewable energies: electricity, district heating and district cooling
- In-house photovoltaic systems with ZERO CO₂ emissions at selected hotels.
- Charging stations for electric cars at the hotels
Water Management
- Use of recycled wastewater to irrigate golf courses
- Planting of Bermuda grass to minimize water consumption

Waste Avoidance and Recycling
- Elimination of plastic bottles and single-use plastic packaging in hotels, restaurant kitchens and on golf courses
- Promotion of the circular economy by composting of organic waste
- Reuse and passing on of furniture in the context of renovation projects

- Use of less paper thanks to SuitePads instead of guest information folders
- Use of fewer resources by forgoing daily room cleaning
- Purchase of high quality products from sustainable sources, such as handicrafts from Mallorca
