London, 2nd March 2026 – The World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (the Alliance) will be taking part in Sustainability LIVE: The Net Zero Summit on the 4th March 2026.
Bring together global sustainability leaders for two days of executive insight, strategy and innovation, the summit will take place at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London. Designed to accelerate net-zero strategy, decarbonisation and sustainable transformation, the 2026 edition highlights the increasing importance of cross-functional climate action.
Peter Andrews, Senior Director of Global Programmes, Policy and Public Affairs at the Alliance, will join a panel discussion on stage to talk about how the luxury market has shifted from excess and disposability to intention, plastic-free and ‘eco-friendly’. The discussion will explore how these changes have altered the way consumers make choices, and ultimately hotel groups, as well as discuss how the industry should balance “building for resilience” with the urgent need to “decarbonize what we already have”.
Commenting on the Alliance’s attendance at the event, Peter Andrews says; “Sustainability LIVE comes at a critical moment for the hospitality sector. We are seeing a clear shift from ambition to implementation, with hotels now focused on how to decarbonise existing assets while building future properties that are resilient, low-carbon and resource-efficient. Luxury is being redefined through longevity, responsible sourcing and the elimination of waste, not excess. Collaboration across the value chain will be essential if we are to accelerate progress and deliver the systemic change needed to reach net zero.”
